About
In 1976...
the Boston Women's Rugby Football Club was formed, making it the oldest independent women's club in Boston. Since then, we have captured the New England Rugby Club Championship titles for both XVs and 7s, and have represented the Northeast at the national level.
In 2014 and 2016, the VXs team won their division by clinching the #1 Northeast seed and went on to represent the region, placing third in the Eastern Bracket of Division I Nationals.
In 2015, the BWRFC 7s team won the inaugural women's NERFU series. The team represented New England at the USA Rugby National 7s Championships in Denver, CO in 2015 and 2016.
In the fall 2016 and spring 2017 seasons, Boston took part in the inaugural Gold Cup, playing teams across the country.
